Pair of Antique Handcarved Tagua Nut Japanese Netsuke with Many Faces black and white arrow published by W F JacksonCharming little faces all the way around on these small Japanese netsuge, hand carved of Tagua nut (a palm tree nut), later 19th century I believe. Four faces on the larger, two on the smaller, each wearing a different expression. I love that their forms relate to American peach pit carved baskets too as if they were the inspiration for those. Larger: 7 8 t x 3 4 w, Smaller 7 8t x 9 16 w. Both in good antique condition, with a couple of tiny holes on
